yards? There's this thing called the metric system. You interject this thing into the topic that is completely outside the discussion, and the game entirely.

I am disturbed by your strange American obsession. Or you could get a contender/encore with a real rifle cartridge and probably go on out to 500 yards or more. There are some other ak & ar pistols as well, I just like that one. Only 200 yards or so effective range but for a pistol that is respectable, and it slots standard AR mags so 30 round standard cap mags and you can get them with approaching 100 cap before having to switch out for belt-fed. Its a fun alternative for mid level sniping, and it also helps against those bosses that require targeting weak spots as the blast hits those.Īnd for the real world stuff. Pretty sure it does more per shot than marelok, though marelok might pass it with an uberbuild and consistent headshots.

It does ok for me in the sniper role for starmap enemy. I don't slot multishot or use the alternate fire (empties mag in general direction of target) for it when it fills this role, just lob one at a time. Lex Prime will nail all 3 bullets practically behind each even at absolute long range, if that is what you prefer. Multishot tends to divert, but only at the longest of long shooting galleries which are few and far between in Warframe.īut then, it's sheer power also make this useful, since rarely do you need all 3 bullets to kill a Corpus crewman, so why not KO the buddy beside him too ? In general, Marelok offers better bang and more usable. I'd use other pistols when using something like my Boltor Prime, which isn't exactly snipery, but is close enough that I'll want more of a specialty weapon (like Angstrum, Stug or Tysis) for a secondary. A single target, well aimed alternative to general AoE havoc. Anyone care to offer advice on that?įor reference, the sniper pistol will most likely be paired with the Amprex, Quanta or Penta, if that would affect your decision. But it's hard for me to look at a number and decide what that means for accuracy. But a friend suggested Marelok, which does TONS more damage, has great status chance, but isn't quite as accurate. Even then, there's a big difference between sniping someone into shooting their allies, and just plain killing them :D Tysis doesn't exactly cut it, especially without more forma and rare mods. I'm pretty happy with my current spread for now, but I need a Sniper Pistol. Trying to round out my arsenal before getting down to just forma-ing the stuff.
