Superhero parodies, like most animated films from the year 2006 about anthropomorphic animals, too often seem to exist only for themselves, not to actually tell a worthwhile story. The trick is to recognize what we always talk about, but so few creators seem to take seriously: no matter what genre you are operating in, you have to have a good story. Superhero conventions are easy to make fun of, but apparently it is not so easy to make all the teasing into a fun story.
